Michel Beauchemin

Beauchemin, Michel J., 90, of Morgantown, WV, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Golden Living Nursing Home, Morgantown. Born in Smithfield and raised in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Louis and Julia (Desbiens) Beauchemin.

Michel was an associate professor at West Virginia University from 1956-1995 and was an associate professor at Boston College 1949-56. A full bright scholar, he received his BA from RI College, MA from Brown University, and PhD from Boston University. He was an Army veteran of WWII.

He leaves several cousins, including Claire Pheland of North Providence. He was brother of the late Louis Beauchemin.

Private burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
