Michael Barbato

Barbato, Michael R. “Mad Man”, 63, of Smithfield, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at his home.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Barbara (Sprague) Barbato.

Michael was a fork lift mechanic for Ocean State Fork Lift and currently for New England Fork Lift Co.  He was a former member of the Hells Angels, RI Chapter.

He is survived by two daughters, Allison M. Barbato of North Providence and Nicole Sherman of Johnston, five grandchildren, Gianna, Kendra, Kayden, Ayven, and Azlynn, and two brothers, Frank Barbato, Jr. and Kevin Barbato.  He also leaves his dogs Monkey and Rocco.

His funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8 PM.
