Maurice Bessette, Sr.

Bessette Sr., Maurice (Moe) Joseph, of North Providence, RI, died September 19, 2011. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was a son of the late George and Lena Bessette. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. Bessette, the father of Maurice J. Bessette Jr. of Portsmouth, RI, Susan M. Coward of Basel, Switzerland, and Paul M. Bessette of Washington, D.C., and grandfather of 10. He was the brother of Robert and Lawrence Bessette, Elinor Brown, Claire Rinaldi, Helen Lamoureau, and Irene Santangelo and the late George, Samuel, Raymond Bessette, and Anita O'Donnell.

Maurice had worked at Industrial Tool for many years before retiring. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Lawrence Council where he was manager of the Columbus Club before retiring two years ago. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at Mary Mother of Mankind Church in North Providence at 11 AM on September 22. Burial will be private. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
