Mary (Monya) Lawson

Lawson, Mary (Monya), 93, of North Providence, passed on November 28, 2021 in her home.  She was the daughter of the late Teet and Paraska Usenia.  Monya moved from Providence to North Providence in 1960.

Monya became active in the North Providence Senior Center in the 1970’s and made it her daily work schedule into the 1990’s.

She was predeceased by two of her sons, Robert and Steven.  She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Sr. and her oldest son, Kenneth Jr., as well as six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her sister, Olga MacDuff of New Hampshire.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:45 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Visitation will begin at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn at alz.org
