Mary Lou (Regan) Buonaccorsi, long term resident of Cranston, RI, most recently of Natick, Massachusetts and Lauderdale By the Sea, Florida passed away on June 7th surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Providence, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Francis and Eva (Caranci) Regan and the sister of Patricia Cifelli and her twin brother the late John M. Regan. She is also survived by her children Ernest and wife Renee (Holleran) Buonaccorsi of Medway, MA and Jamie and husband Jayson Carr of Natick, MA and her six grandchildren Jacob, Samantha and Alexandra Buonaccorsi and Jackson, Patrick, and Margaret Carr.
Mary Lou had a long career in Human Resources and as a Human Resources instructor. She enjoyed travel and a lifelong love of reading. The library was truly her “happy place” where she often thought “so many books, so little time”. An accomplished baker and Italian cook, she’d make you anything you wanted except her nemesis, the brussel sprout.
Mary Lou’s crowning achievement and greatest love was her family. While outwardly stating that she was not the “typical grandmother”, she showered her children and grandchildren with wisdom, good humor and above all, love.
We are honored to celebrate Mary Lou's "life well lived".
In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to your local library or food bank- two causes close to Mary Lou's heart.
