Fennessy, Mary A. (Hague), passed away peacefully November 17, 2013, in her 92nd year, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William J. Fennessy.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Luke E. and Elizabeth R. (McCaughey) Hague, she is survived by two daughters, Eileen Murray and her husband Robert of Smithfield, and Elizabeth Noonan of North Providence. She was also the sister of Roselyn Cormier and Elizabeth Wilkes and the late Joseph L. Hague. She also leaves two grandchildren, William H. Murray and his fiancée Gretchen Jehle and Amy E. Sisson and her husband Brian, as well as two great grandchildren, Brendan C. and Nathan W. Sisson.
Mary was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and was employed at the former American Universal Insurance Company in Providence, retiring as a claims underwriter. She is best remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love and dedication to her family and church always came first. She was a long time parishioner of St. Augustine Parish in Providence.
A funeral and visitation will be held Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:15 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
