Mary Corte

Corte, Mary E. (Parker), 96, of Smithfield, died on November 5, 2021 at the Hopehealth Hospice Hulitar Center.  She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Corte.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Winfield G. and Maybelle E. (Henry) Parker.

In her younger years, Mary was a secretary and a cook’s helper for the Smithfield School Department.  She then worked at Everett Products before retiring.  She was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan and season ticket holder.  Mary was a member of the Georgiaville Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, Theodore G. Corte of Lyman, NH and Susan J. Macioci (Ben) of Smithfield, five grandchildren, Diane Metz (Dan), Kevin Macioci, Joseph Corte, and Steven and Erica Gould, and seven great-grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Michael Corte and Donna Gould and sister of the late Winfield G. Parker, Jr.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.  Visitation Wednesday 10-11 am.
