Mary Bailey

Bailey, Mary Cotrone (Mello), 89, died Tuesday July 31, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the beloved wife of George Bailey for 57 years, and the late Frank E. Cotrone. She was born in Johnston on November 21, 1922, a daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Mello.

She is survived by her children, Francine (Vincent) Di Fruscio of Riverside, Frank (Celeste) Cotrone of Johnston, and George Bailey, Jr. of Florida. She is also survived by her daughter-in- law, Linda Cotrone of North Providence, sisters Dolores Clemente of North Providence and Evelyn Gianlorenzo of Chepachet. She leaves her grandchildren, Vincent (Heidi) Di Fruscio, Lisa Cotrone, Frank (Marisa) Cotrone, and Jennifer Paschoal, great granddaughters Amanda, Rebecca, and Emily Di Fruscio , Ashtyn Paschoal, and Sophia Marie Cotrone, and a great-great grandchild, Ella Alyse Davis. She was predeceased by her siblings, Manuel Mello, Martha Crenca, and Elizabeth Izzo.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a service at 10 AM in the St. Peter's and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 25 Pomona Ave., Providence, RI 02908. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation Thursday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
