Bramble, Marlene C., 71, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family, at her home, Tuesday, April 7, 2015. She was the wife of the late Edward Trayner. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Melina (Larocque) Bramble.
Marlene was a secretary at St. Thomas Church for over 26 years and at St. Eugene's Church in Chepachet for 5 years before retiring. Following retirement, she volunteered at both churches. She participated with the Women of Grace at St. Philip's Church. She loved her friends, affectionately known as the Zoles.
Marlene leaves five daughters, Cynthia Carroll (Daniel) of No. Providence, Carleen Savickas (Russell) of Providence, Michelle Brunelle of North Providence, Dorothy Brunelle (Paul) of North Providence, and Caroline Zanni (Gil) of Johnston. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was a sister of Robert Mullen, Sonny Mullen, Eleanor Giglietti, Jean Strobel, and the late Patricia Carr.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave, Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are Friday, 4-8 PM.
