Marion Rotondo

Rotondo, Marion (Smaldone), 90, died peacefully on August 21, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Julio Rotondo for nearly 70 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michele and Rosina (Caputo) Smaldone.

Marion worked at Providence College in the Phillips Memorial Library until retiring. Marion and Julio enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing together.

Besides her husband, she was the dear mother of four children, Carol Lallo and her husband Anthony of West Warwick, Diane Rossi and her husband Donald of North Smithfield, Janice Sisto and her husband Joe of Warwick, and Bob Rotondo and his wife Patricia of Scituate, grandmother of eight, and great-grandmother of ten. She was the sister of the late Charles Smaldone and Rose Cataldo.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston.
