Marion Carlton

Carlton, Marion C. (Gath), 81, of Capron Rd., died May 30, 2009 at Greenville Health Care. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Leonard J. and Marion P. (Fleming) Gath.

Marion was a medical secretary at the IMH in Cranston for 15 years before retiring in 1989. She was an avid bingo player.

She leaves four children, John L., Linda J., James L., and Joseph R. Carlton all of Smithfield, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was a sister of Florence Paquette of Smithfield, William Gath of FL, Bernard Gath of CA, Lawrence Gath of East Greenwich, and the late Avis, Leonard, Richard, and Robert Gath.

Marion's funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St., Providence, RI 02906.
