Marie Matarazzo

Matarazzo, Marie E. (Bucci), 93, of North Providence, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre. She was the wife of the late Paulino Matarazzo for 67 years. Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Angelina (Pesaturo) Bucci.

She loved to bake, especially at Easter time. She also enjoyed reading, solving word puzzles, and was an expert at knitting. Her favorite place was the ocean.

Before retiring, Marie was an inspector at Mine Safety Appliances.

She is survived by a daughter, Angela Chabot and her husband Peter, a grandson whom she dearly loved, Peter Chabot and his wife Charlotte, a great granddaughter, Summer Chabot who she loved dearly, and six sisters, Anna Costa, Carmella Hebert, Concetta DaSilva, Angela Viola, Dolores Norberg and Antonia Horning. She was the sister of the late John, Agostino and Arthur Bucci and Frances DeCristofaro.

Her funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady of Grace Memorial Society, 4 Lafayette St. Johnston, RI 02919.
