Lussier, Marcel R., 68, of Johnston, died Saturday peacefully at home with his family. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Hethcox) Lussier. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Leopold and Jeanne (Guillet) Lussier.

He attended La Salette Seminary in Enfield, New Hampshire for four years before serving two years as Military Police for the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He was employed by UPS for thirty years before retiring in 2000.

He was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Johnston, where he volunteered as Eucharistic Minister and lector. He was employed part-time maintaining the church and its grounds. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and current member of the Holy Name Society.

Besides his wife, he is survived by five children, Kelli Lussier of North Providence, Tara (Lussier) D'Elena and her husband Stephen D'Elena of Cranston, Jason Lussier of Attleboro, MA, Joseph Lussier of Cape Coral, FL, and Victoria (Lussier) Galietti of Fort Myers, FL. He is also survived by a sister, Gertrude (Lussier) Tolly of Sulfur Springs, TX. He leaves behind six grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, and many cousins.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Grace Memorial Society, 4 Lafayette St., Johnston, RI 02919.
