M. Stead

Stead, M. Eveline (Browne), 93, formerly of North Providence died September 1, 2009 at the Hebert Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Harold R. Stead. Born in Belfast, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late David J. and Martha (Shirlow) Browne.

Mrs. Stead worked at Brown & Sharpe Mfg. and A.T. Cross until retiring. She was a member of the Greystone P. M. Church and its Missionary Society.

She leaves a son, Norman F. Stead and his wife Kathy, a daughter, Marion E. Mulcahey and her husband John, all of No. Ft. Myers, FL, a granddaughter, Linda Lynch and her husband Craig, five great-grandchildren, Richard, Sean, Kayla, Kyle, and Nicholas, all of Smithfield, step-grandchildren, John Dwyer of Johnston, Michelle and Kelly Dwyer, both of North Providence, and step-great-grandchildren, April, Jesse and Nicholas. She was sister of the late Harold Browne, Rev. Sydney Browne, Irene Browne, and Nora Donnelly.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 12 NOON in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Thursday 6-8 PM.
