Lucas D'Alessio

May 5, 1979 — December 26, 2022

Cranston

Lucas James D'Alessio, “Luke,” age 43, of Cranston, passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 26, 2022. Born in Providence, RI, he was the beloved son of Frank J. D'Alessio and Barbara A. D'Alessio of Cranston, RI.

From an early age, it was clear to see that Lucas had a fun and adventurous spirit. He quickly developed a passion for music and enjoyed entertaining others and making people laugh. Luke had a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. In addition to all of the laughter, Luke had a sensitive and compassionate heart, caring deeply for others. He had a great affection for animals, caring about their welfare, often giving what he could to support animals in need.

Luke was a 1997 graduate of Johnston Sr. High School where he played soccer. Luke received his Associates from Katharine Gibbs School and his work history includes fabrication, welding and was also a DJ at several local entertainment clubs. Luke's family would like you to know and remember him as a faithful New Orleans Saints fan. Luke always wore his Saints jacket and never left home without a hat or a coffee in hand.

Of each of Luke’s accomplishments, his greatest pride and joy were his 3 children. He was so proud to be a dad and loved his children and family more than anything.

Left to honor Luke and remember his love are his two sons, Hunter J. D'Alessio and Sean A. D'Alessio of Smithfield and his daughter, Audrina R. D'Alessio of East Providence. He also leaves behind his parents, Frank and Barbara D’Alessio of Cranston; his sister Amanda J. D’Alessio of Cranston; his grandmother, Geraldine D'Alessio of Warwick; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Everett & Barbara Geary and Robert D'Alessio.

Luke will be greatly missed and we know he is resting peacefully in the arms of many who have gone before him.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the RISPCA or the Potter League in his honor and name.

A private funeral for the family will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in North Providence, RI. He will be laid to rest next to his grandparents, Everett and Barbara Geary at Highland Memorial in Johnston, RI.
