Lisa Poirier

Poirier, Lisa F. (Bryant), 59, of Thelma Ave. died Sunday December 25, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She was the wife of Vincent Poirier. Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Catherine (Scott) Bryant.

Mrs. Poirier was a graduate of Rhode Island College, and also received her Masters Degree in ESL. She was a teacher in the Providence Public School System for almost 30 years, retiring in June of 2010.

Besides her husband, she is survived by children, Ryan Poirier of North Providence, and Meaghan Gallagher of Pawtucket, a step son, Derek Poirier of Sommersworth, NH, two brothers Scott Bryant of North Providence, and Mark Bryant of Charlestown, six grandchildren and her best friend, Diane DiPrete of North Providence.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 8 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave, Providence. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 PM.
