Paradise Walsh, Lillian (Kelly) passed away peacefully on October 22, 2014, 4 days before turning 88.
Born Lillian Anna Kelly on October 27, 1926 in Providence R.I. she was the daughter of Anna Frazier and Everett Kelly.
She was married in 1947 in Centredale R.I. to Joseph J. Paradise and they made their home in Lincoln R.I. After Joe's early passing, Lillian remained in Lincoln raising their three children into adulthood. In 1976 she then married John Walsh from South Hadley MA. and they made their home in Hadley for many year's while enjoying their blended family which then included children Jim, Joanne Janice, Jeannine and John as well as their spouses and then the grandchildren that came along. After Johns retiring they moved to Chepachet R.I. on Echo Lake where they enjoyed many more years growing old together. After John's passing Lillian resided comfortably with her youngest daughter and husband in Thompson Conn. where she remained until her death. For many years Lillian and John traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad ~ and enjoyed searching for different places to eat throughout New England. The saying went "if you want to know of a good restaurant just ask Lillian." In her younger years she always had knitting needles in her hand producing many beautiful sweaters for her children and grandchildren; and also made beautiful quilts by hand until her hands no longer let her.
Lillian was predeceased by her first husband Joe in 1961, son Jim in 1990, and second husband John 2011. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Ringer(George) daughter Janice Dutch (Michael) Stepson John Jr. Walsh (Ellie) Stepdaughter Jeannine Milos(Ray).
Grandchildren Leslie Paradise, Dustin Paradise(Shannon), Kristen Fleming (Kevin), Wayne Dutch, Christopher Dutch, Scott Walsh, Lynn Walsh-Blair(Dereck), Matthew Milos(Amanda), Shauna Burdick(Andy), Jeff Becher(Jamie), Allison Sicard(Greg), Logan Becher (Yhordanna).
Great Grandchildren Marley Paradise, Aidan and Lillian Fleming, Madison Dutch, Riley, Jackson and Kelsey Becher, Ryan and Katherine Sicard, Kyrin and Shea Walsh, Laila and Cameron Blair, William and John Burdick~ and one baby girl Becher on the way! She also leaves behind many extended family members from both marriages.
Lillian was a strong woman with a big heart, a generous and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother til the very end. She will be greatly missed by all.
As requested by Lillian there will be no calling hours. She will be laid to rest in the in RI Veterans Cemetery with her late husband John. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the leukemia foundation in Lillian's name. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
