Threshier, Lillian D. (Newman), 91, of Pawtucket, formerly of Johnston, died on July 19, 2020 at her home.
Lillian grew up on a farm in Johnston, a daughter of the late Alfred and Marion (Martineau) Newman, with her siblings, Alfred, Herbert, Chester, and Beatrice. She was married and had four children, before getting divorced. At the age of 70, she reconnected with the love of her life, Raymond Threshier, to whom she was married until his passing.
Lillian was a member of the Pawtucket Senior Center for the last six years, where she enjoyed watercolor painting. In her spare time, she also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, coloring, puzzles, and reading.
When Lillian lived in Johnston, she was a member of the former Graniteville Baptist Church, where she served on the Missionary Committee. She also belonged to the Johnston Historical Society.
Lillian is survived by her four children, Sandra Dos Santos, Harold, Paul, and Eric Breitenbecher, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
