Leo Yekelchik

Yekelchik, Leo, 77, of Scituate Ave, died March 14, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Helen P. (Guidone) Yekelchik. Born in Manhattan, New York City, he was the son of the late Jack Yekelchik and Lillian (Schneiderman) Allegri.

Mr. Yekelchik was an operator for the now Narragansett Bay Commission for 23 years, retiring in 1995. He had also worked at the 1025 Club for over 30 years. He was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Intrepid.

Besides his wife, Leo leaves three children, Steven M. Yekelchik and his wife Diana of Cranston, Lee Ann Connors of Johnston, and Robert Yekelchik and his wife Kerri of Glocester, and five grandchildren Steven, Dayna, Kyle, Leah, and Jaina Yekelchik.

Funeral services with military honors will be held Thursday at 12:30 PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 PM.
