Kenneth Arruda

Arruda, Kenneth J., 51, of North Providence, died May 2, 2009 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Sheila A. (Bouthillette) Arruda. Born in Providence, he was the son of John and Jeannette (Gauthier) Arruda of North Providence.

A graduate of North Providence High School, he served with the US Navy. Kenneth was a member of the North Providence Fire Department then worked for the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics in Quonset. He was involved with youth sports programs in the town of North Providence. He was also an avid music and New England Patriots fan.

Besides his wife and parents he leaves a daughter, Kayleigh Arruda and a son Kenneth Arruda, both of North Providence. He was the brother of the late Catherine Arruda.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Church of the Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8 PM.
