Petrosinelli, Katherine (Degidio), 104, formerly of Johnston and North Providence, died Friday July 21, 2017 at The Oaks in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Alfred Petrosinelli. Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Julia (Marwell) Degidio.
Katherine worked for the former Mine Safety Appliances of Esmond and Bulova Watch Company of Warwick for 10 years before retiring. She belonged to the Bingo Association of Sunset Terrace.
She is survived by a son, Alfred V. Petrosinelli and his wife Nancy of No. Ft. Myers, FL, two grandchildren, Deborah Huckabee and Daniel Petrosinelli, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Viola LaBelle of Johnston and Irene Cerio of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Ernest, Raymond, and Louis Degidio, Florence Scopelitti, Eleanor Parisi, Lillian and Elizabeth Frezza and Anna DiOrio.
Katherine’s family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at The Oaks and to Beacon Hospice for the excellent care that she received during her illness.
Katherine’s visitation will be held Thursday from 8:15AM to 9:15AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
