Karen A. Bessette

Karen Bessette, 54, of Smithfield, died unexpectedly on March 3, 2025 at Landmark Medical Center.  Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Roland A. and Loretta F. (Dumais) Bessette.

Karen worked as a CNA at several group homes.  She was loved by clients and their families, as well as her co-workers.  She was a New England Sports fanatic, following both the Patriots and the Red Sox.  She also loved Star Wars.

Most of all, Karen was dedicated to her family, attending all of her nieces and nephews' life events.  She is survived by her brother, Wayne R. Bessette and his wife, Christine, her sister-in-law, Paulette Dion, her nephew and nieces, Jared R. Bessette and his wife Emily, Danielle Kachuk and her husband Richard, and Faith C. Bessette, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12pm-2pm, followed by a Catholic prayer service at 2 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Jimmy Fund.
