June Berube

Berube, June L. (Spearman), 72, a long-time resident of North Providence, died December 31, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Hope E. (Gardiner) Spearman.

June was a Director of Communications for Women and Infants Hospital for 18 years before retiring. Prior to that she worked for New England Telephone and was the co-owner of Ray-J Jewelry. A devoted and caring mother & grandmother, June found true pleasure in helping others and throughout her life worked tirelessly to provide for her children.

She leaves her daughters Linda J. Derderian and her husband Jeff of Cranston, and Tracy J. Berube of North Providence, three grandchildren, Joie Holden, Jake and Max Derderian. She was sister of the late Jack L. Spearman.

Her funeral service will Saturday at 10 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Calling hours will be 8:30am to 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
