Josephine Thorn

Thorn, Josephine (Rocchio), 72, died March 11, 2010 at Golden Crest Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late John J. Thorn. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Carbone) Rocchio. Josephine worked as a patent clerk at Providence Public Library until retiring.

She leaves six daughters, Rose L. King, Cheryl A. Walters, Jacquelyn B. Scott, Christine J. Thorn, Laurie C. Lindsay, and Dana G. Thorn, 10 grandchildren, and two sisters, Joanne Castelli and Loretta Conte. She was sister of the late John and Bernard Rocchio.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-7 pm.
