Josephine Cambio

Cambio, Josephine L. (Higgins), 80, died July 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of Nicholas R. Cambio. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary Kate (Henry) Higgins.

A registered nurse for 50 years, she had worked at the former Lying-In Hospital, and was a charge nurse for 25 years at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital before retiring.

Besides her husband she leaves a son, Christopher J. Cambio, and her grandchildren, Richard M. Cambio, Jr. and Nicholas G. Cambio. She was mother of the late Richard M. Cambio, and sister of the late Mary W. Cambio.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 pm.
