John Rinaldi

John Rinaldi 90, of Old County Road, a former building contractor, died Sunday August 9, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Ida (St. Pierre) Rinaldi. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Ricci) Rinaldi. He had lived in Smithfield since 1979, previously residing in North Providence.
He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Jacqueline Carroll of Rehoboth, MA, Maria Shore of Warwick, Sandra Rinaldi of Mansfield, MA, and a son, John (Jake) Rinaldi, Jr. of Smithfield, and the loving grandfather ("Pep") to four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was brother to Dolores Santoro of N. Providence and Gennaro Rinaldi of Smithfield, and the late Viola Tundis, Arthur, Salvatore, Michael, and Anthony.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Avenue, N. Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-7 pm. Burial with military honors in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
