John Giroux

Giroux, John E., 67, of Smithfield, passed on November 3, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.  He was the husband of Denise (Reilly) Giroux.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph E. and Gertrude Yvonne (Emin) Giroux.

John worked for The Okonite Company in Cumberland until 2008, when he retired.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Jason Giroux, Christine Leite, and James Giroux, five grandchildren, two brothers, Wilfred and Paul Giroux, and two sisters, Patricia and Norma Giroux.  He was brother of the late Robert and Stephen Giroux and Carol Houle.

Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, with a funeral service at 7 pm.  Burial will be private.
