John Egan

Egan, John R., 74, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Jo-Ann (Gavigan) Egan. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francis and Mary (Mulvey) Egan.

John was a 50 year member of the Steamfitters Local 476. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Jo-Ann Plunkett and her husband Anthony, John P. Egan and his wife Deb, Thomas and Michael Egan, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, a brother, Kevin Egan and a sister, Patricia Simonelli.

His funeral service will be held Friday at 10AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Thursday 4-7. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312.
