John Dorney

Dorney, John H., 91, of Providence, died July 25, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Rosalyn (Gill) Dorney. They were married for 64 years as of June 21st. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John H. and Josephine (Shanley) Dorney.

John was a truck driver for Providence Wholesale Drug Company. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 251 and a heavy equipment rigger. John also was a former real estate agent. He had a profound love of the State of Wyoming. John was an Army veteran of WWII.

Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter, Joan Dorney Collins and a brother, Kenneth Dorney. He was brother of the late Jessie Paquette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 1, 2012 at 10 AM in the Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence, followed by military honors.
