John Corsi, Sr.

Corsi, John A., Sr. "Johnny Dee", 70, died July 29, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Darlene (Levasseur) Corsi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Mirabella) Corsi.

John was a bus driver for RIPTA for 26 years until retiring. An avid singer, he went by the stage name of Johnny Dee.

He leaves two sons, John A. Corsi, Jr. and his wife Pam of Johnston, and Shaun Corsi of Florida, a sister Lorraine Mello and her husband John of Johnston, two grandchildren, and his beloved yorkie Maggie.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Philip Church in Greenville. Calling hours are Tuesday 4-7 PM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made for the care of Maggie.
