John Allen

Allen, John H., "Jack", 74, a retired Plating Manager, died March 16, 2010 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. He was the husband of Audrey L. (Fenner) Allen. Born in Providence he was the son of the late John H. and Mary E. (Watts) Allen.

A graduate of Hope High School, he attended Bryant College. He was a Marine Corps Veteran and an avid sports fan.

Besides his wife he leaves four daughters, Lynn Blanchette and her husband Dennis of Hope, Donna Octeau and her husband Philip of Coventry, Gayle DelPrete and her husband Joseph of Foster, and Jacqueline Brooks and her husband Timothy of Warwick. He also leaves ten grandchildren, Craig and Jeffrey Blanchette, Danielle and Stephanie Octeau, Lauren, Kyle, Korie, and Jillian DelPrete, and Shelby and Kendall Brooks.

His funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 PM. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
