Joan Sparadeo

Sparadeo, Joan L. (Greaves), 76, of Audubon Ave., died March 7, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of Francis G. Sparadeo. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mabel (Brahmhall) Greaves.

Joan worked in the export department at A.T. Cross for 15 years. She also was a truant officer in North Providence for 10 years. Joan was a singer with the "Happy Notes" and was a communicant of St. James Church, North Providence, where she served on various committees.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Dr. Francis R. Sparadeo and his wife Donna of East Greenwich, and Alan J. Sparadeo and his wife Lynn of Johnston, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was sister of the late Mildred Priestly, Edith Ferguson, and Frederick Greaves.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a service at 10 am in St. James Church, Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 pm.
