Joan Morel

Morel, Joan B., 85, of North Providence, died Tuesday May 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Hector P. Morel. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Eva (Dupuis) Monahan.

Joan enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by five sons, Erle, Manuel, Perry, and Paul Gonsalves and Hector Morel, II, eleven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and three siblings, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Ursillo, Harvey and Normand Duffany.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours Friday 5-8PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915.
