Gubata, Joan M. (Meegan), 79, formerly of North Providence, died Wednesday July 5, 2017 at the Coventry Center Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late James E. Gubata. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ethel (Johnson) Meegan.

She is survived by her children, James Gubata, Mark Gubata, Stephen Gubata, Joan Marie McKenna, Gregory Gubata and Mary Beth Carneiro, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Donald, Garey, Michael and Joseph Meegan.

Her funeral will be held Saturday July 8th, 2017 at 9:30 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial and committal prayers will be on Monday July 10th at 10AM in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Please arrive at 9:45AM in front of the administration building. Calling hours will be Friday, July 7th from 5-8PM.
