Jeffrey Murphy

Murphy, Jeffrey B., 65, formerly of Centredale, died on July 12, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John P. and Yvonne (Forgue) Murphy.

Jeffrey was a retired member of the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 271. He was a US Army veteran of Vietnam, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division as a gunner at Fire Base Sherry. He was an outdoor sportsman and enjoyed hiking, fishing, and hunting. Jeff was a volunteer for Operation Stand Down, a past member of the Centredale Fire Department, and a member of the National Dusters Quads and Searchlight Association.

He leaves a sister Jerilyn Berube of Pawtucket, a brother John P. Murphy, Jr. of North Providence, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was a brother of the late James M. Murphy.

His funeral service will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by military honors. Visiting hours will be Monday 9-11 AM. Burial will be private.
