Jean Eley

Eley, Jean L. (Creelman), 49, passed away peacefully, January 7, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Eley. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Edna M. (Whiteley) Creelman-Healey of North Providence and the late George "Pete" Creelman. She was the step-daughter of Ernest Healey.

Jean was a graduate of North Providence High School and CCRI, where she received her associate's degree as a paralegal. She was a waitress at The Pines in North Smithfield, and Tony's Pizza Palace in Smithfield.

She is also survived by her brother, Peter Creelman of Hudson, FL, her sisters, Janice Leavitt and Jane Creelman both of North Providence, and her faithful dogs Layla and Penney.

Jean's funeral service will be held Friday at 11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
