Jean (John) Caouette, 65, passed away at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center on Sunday November 1, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband to Carolyn Caouette (Devine) for almost 34 years until his passing. John was born in Central Falls to the late Arthur and Elise Caouette.
John was a jack of all trades and after owning his own construction company, ended his career in maintenance supervision. An avid sports fan, John never hesitated to volunteer to coach for his children’s sports teams or spend a Sunday afternoon cheering on New England sport teams. Family meant the world to John and he was the happiest when among the people he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his son; Neil Caouette and his fianceé, Kara Leary, and his daughter, Nicole Caouette and her fiancé Zachary Valente, as well as siblings: Robert Caouette, Doris Browder, Edmond Caouette, Noel Caouette, and his late brother Marcel Caouette.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. George Maronite Church, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-7 pm. Social distancing guidelines will apply and masks will be required.
