Janet Giroux

Giroux, Janet B. "Jennie", 91, formerly of North Providence, died November 27, 2013 at the Hebert Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Giroux, Sr. Born in Castle Rock, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Andrews) Lambie.

Jennie worked for the former Mine Safety Appliances in Esmond for 35 years until retiring. She was a member of the Greystone PM Church, the North Providence Senior Center, and was a US Coast Guard veteran of WWII.

She leaves a son, Raymond J. Giroux, Jr. of North Providence, a daughter, Janet A. Seynave of Smithfield, six grandchildren, Richard Giroux, Robert Seynave, Lori Diamantino, Kerri Oliveira, Jenifer Dionne, Sean Carroll, and nine great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Richard Giroux, and sister of the late Thomas Lambie.

A visitation will be held Saturday from 9-11 AM followed by a funeral service, with military honors, at 11 in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be private.
