Hargreaves, Imelda (Tobin, Puffer, Belisle), 91, passed away May 15, 2009 in Orange Park, Florida. She was born August 18, 1917 in Pawtucket, R.I., the daughter of William and Grace Puffer. She was the widow of David Hargreaves and the former wife of Leon Belisle, deceased.
"Mel" lived most of her life and raised her children in Rhode Island but spent the last couple of decades in Florida and Virginia. She was the mother of Judith Belisle Ludlam and her husband Maurice of Orange Park, Fl., Barbara Belisle of Providence, Steven Hargreaves and his wife Cheryll of Boulder Colorado, the late William Hargreaves and his wife Karen, Daniel Hargreaves of San Diego, California, the late Ronald Hargreaves and his wife Susan, and Taylor Tobin and her partner Barbara of Boulder, Colorado. She was the grandmother of eight and the great grandmother of six.
She will be remembered for her love of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her love of dancing.
A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 182 Seven Mile Road, Hope on Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be Friday at 10 am in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
