Howard Clark

Clark, Howard L. 79, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Griffin) Clark. Born in Smithfield, RI, he was a son of the late Harold and Louise (Paiva) Clark.

Dr. Clark was a principal of the William Winsor Elementary School in Smithfield. He had served on the Smithfield School committee. Dr. Clark was a resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Pembroke, ME, and Smithfield, RI. He also served in the Army.

He is survived by a daughter, Karolyn Clark, three sisters, Beverly Clark, Marjorie Calderara and her husband David, and Shirley Sullivan and her husband Ted, a sister in law, Helen McKinlay and her husband Robert, and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Labor of Love Food Pantry, PO Box 147, Eastport, ME 04631.
