Helen Yekelchik

Yekelchik, Helen P. (Guidone), 83, of Johnston, died on April 12, 2021 at home.  She was the wife of the late Leo Yekelchik.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Anna (Connolly) Guidone.

Helen worked in the medical records department of Women and Infants Hospital for many years before retiring.

She is survived by three children, Steven M. Yekelchik and his wife Diana of Cranston, Lee Ann Connors and her companion Michael Aho of Johnston, and Robert Yekelchik and his wife Kerri of Glocester, five grandchildren, Steven Yekelchik II, Dayna, Kyle, Leah, and Jaina Yekelchik, and a great-granddaughter, Emma Yekelchik.  She was the sister of the late Philip, Paul, and John Guidone.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.  Calling hours Wednesday 4-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Continuum Hospice, 1350 Division Rd., Suite 205, W.
