Hazel Lavender

Lavender, Hazel M. (Williams), 88, of Esmond Village, Smithfield, passed away on September 8, 2018. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Williams.

Hazel worked at Bryant College for 25 years, retiring in 1997.

She leaves a daughter, Deborah Lavender of Smithfield, and two sons, Daniel Lavender of Florida and Richard Lavender of Westport, MA. She was the mother of the late John F. Lavender, Jr. She also leaves six grandchildren, Aimee Gagnon, Michael Johnson, Jonathan Lavender, Jenna Vallee, Christine Treglia, and Jeffrey Lavender and five great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Requiem Eucharist at 10 am in Trinity Episcopal Church, Scituate. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Tuesday 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Trust, 1111 Bayhill Dr., Suite 285, San Bruno, CA 94066.
