Kennaway, Glenn T., 61, of North Providence, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at his home with his son at his side. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James T. and Loretta (Murphy) Kennaway.
Glenn had been a laborer for Local 271. He was a former firefighter for the Town of North Providence, and also the Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona. He was an avid Harley rider and a New York Yankees fan. A US Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sons, James Kennaway of Arizona and Jason Kennaway, with whom he lived, his siblings, Joan Kennaway of North Kingstown, J. Grant Kennaway of North Kingstown, Bruce Kennaway of Cambridge, MA, and Gail Martish of North Kingstown. He also leaves his former wife Judy Rozzero of Johnston, 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence followed by burial with military honors in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Wednesday 10 to 11 AM.
