Gertrude Mollo

Mollo, Gertrude A. "Trudy" (Petitpas-Rodgers), 91, of North Providence, died peacefully at Heritage Hills Nursing Center on July 4, 2016. Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Viola (Boudreau) Petitpas, sister of the late Mary "Pearl"(Mulcahey) Ruscetti and Bertha Barrass, and wife of the late Charles J. Mollo and John J. Rodgers.

Trudy was the cherished aunt of Janice J. DeCesare and her husband Michael, Kevin W. Mulcahey, Karen A. Mulcahey, the late John (Jack) F. Mulcahey and the late Brian D. Mulcahey. She will also be sadly missed by her many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews, and great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

She retired from Grinnell Pipe Hanger Division, as an executive secretary, where she was well admired and respected. She was a devoted communicant of Holy Cross Church and member of the Holy Cross Women's Guild. Trudy enjoyed playing cards with her friends and spending time with her family.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday 6-8 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Church Memorial Fund, 18 King Phillip St., Providence, RI 02909.
