Gertrude Mcginnis-Rice

McGinnis-Rice, Gertrude, D. (Peck) 91, formerly of North Providence, died Wednesday May 10, 2017 at Cherry Hill Manor. She was the wife of the late Ernest J. McGinnis and the late Grafton Rice. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Corinne (LaFleur) Peck.

Gertrude was an employee of Bulova Watch Company for many years before retiring. She loved animals.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Donahue and her husband George and Patricia Guilbault and her husband Alan, a grandson, Jeremy Donahue, a sister, Corinne LaFleur and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rosalie Aubee, Leo Peck and Dorothy Vincent.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 13th, 2017 from 8:30-9:30AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142.
