Gertrude Baron

Baron, Gertrude M., 86 of North Providence and Bonnet Shores, died June 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mary A. (McCaffrey) Baron.

Gertrude was a teacher and then principal at the James L. McGuire Elementary School in North Providence until retiring. She received her teaching degree from Rhode Island College of Education and her masters degree from Brown University.

She leaves three nephews, Charles J. Pichette of Nobleboro, ME, Craig J. Baron of Parker, CO, and Clifford Baron of Smithfield, their families, and a sister-in-law, Doris E. Baron of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Charles J. Baron, Jr. and Eugene P. Baron.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Calling Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
