Caranci, Francis A. "Frank", 90, of Ferncliff Ave, died December 6, 2012 at the Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the husband of Anna E. (Barbarita) Caranci. A lifetime resident of North Providence, he was the son of the late Palmerino Caranci and Filomena (Romano) Caranci-Vacca.
Frank was a foreman for the former Carol Cable Co., of Warren before retiring. Previously, he worked for the former Ronci Mfg. of North Providence. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, a former member of the Italian-American War Veterans, and served on the North Providence Democratic Town Committee. He loved being with his family, tending his garden, and was a fan of the New York Yankees.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Linda A. Corsini and her husband Dennis, a son Paul F. Caranci and his wife Margie, three grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, and Michael, four great grandchildren, and two sisters, Etta Iannuccilli and Pat Kaloustian.
His funeral with visitation will be held Monday from 9 to 9:30 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
