Campano, Francis J., 80, of North Providence, died July 15, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Roy) Campano. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Pannone) Campano.
Francis worked for Turex, Inc. of Nasonville before retiring. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Bouffard Council, where he was a 3rd degree Knight.
Francis loved feeding his birds in the morning, then going on long walks around town and visiting his friends at Yacht Club Soda. He was known for telling jokes and his ability to make people smile.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael R. Campano and his wife Holly of North Providence, a daughter, Christine M. Marsh and her husband Michael of Griswold, CT, five grandchildren, Alicia, Rachael, Rebecca, Lacey, and Cody, and a brother, Ralph Campano of Hope.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8 pm.
