Francine Shaw

Shaw, Francine L. (Laliberte), 75, died March 13, 2010 at home after a long fight with cancer. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Shaw. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Eddie E. and Irene (Cote) Laliberte.

Francine worked at Twin River and the Plainridge Race Track for many years before retiring. She loved her animals, crocheting, and bowling.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Christine Nyzio and her husband Robert of Cranston, a son, Craig Johnson of Atlanta, GA, and seven grandchildren, Nicole, Alex, and Stephanie Nyzio, C.J., Jeffery, Steven, and Kevin Johnson. She was the mother of the late Jeffery Johnson.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 pm.
