Frances Demars

DeMars (Balcom- Shea) Frances M. 84, of Wake Robin Rd. died Monday August 26, 2013 at home. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Isabel (Broadfoot) Balcom. She was pre deceased by her former husband, James G. DeMars.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie DeMars, Ted DeMars, Barrie William DeMars (deceased) his children Stacy and Justin, and his son Bryan, Rick DeMars and his daughter Rachel, Jim DeMars and his daughters Cadence and Francesca, Paul DeMars and his wife Lisa and their children Daniel, Meghan and Joseph, and James William DeMars (deceased). She was sister of the late Isabel Angell, Ruth Lowe O'Neil, Everett, Stewart and Robert Balcom.

Frances was a 1946 graduate of Hope High School. She was employed at the former Providence Visitor and the Manville Department of Elderly. She was a docent at the Providence State House and Trinity Repertory Company. She enjoyed counted cross stitch, knitting, cats, traveling and was a big football fan. Go PATS!

Visitation will be held Thursday 4-8PM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Funeral and burial will be private.
